Mike Read has won ten National Broadcaster Awards and was awarded the Gold Badge of Merit by the Music Association for his special contribution to Britain's music industry. He has been a household name in Britain for over 35 years having fronted three top-rated long-running TV series, Top of the Pops, Pop Quiz, Saturday Superstore and three national radio breakfast shows, including Radio One and Classic FM.
Pop Quiz was back on BBC television, Mike having hosted two top-rated specials for Christmas 2016. Mike has interviewed many hundreds of major artists, members of the Royal Family, Prime Ministers and top politicians. His award-winning series with Paul McCartney is still repeated as is the last-ever interview with Queen & Freddie Mercury. More recently, he produced and presented his own highly-successful TV series, Tin Pan Alley, a competition for songwriters.
