We are delighted to announce that we have released a free children’s audiobook with a full orchestral arrangement to assist parents and guardians of young children, helping teach about washing their hands thoroughly and social distancing while they are at home due to the coronavirus.
Sunshine Hill, Thomas and the virus which was written by Monkeynut Audiobook’s managing Director Elliott Frisby, has received some wonderful feedback including press, BBC news and we are delighted to announce that Thomas is now being streamed on Radio Lollipop at Great Ormond Street.
A loving and devoted parent of two, Elliott found himself at home juggling between keeping his business afloat as well as being a home school teacher to his 7-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son. Elliott wanted to use his creativity and positivity to support those around him with young children in similar situations.

‘One thing which I found a struggle was monitoring and explaining to my young children the importance of washing their hands for 20 seconds and learning social distancing. 20 seconds is a long time for a 4-year-old especially when they have eczema on their hands! I decided to create a short story based in Sunshine Hill, a series I am releasing later this year, telling a story about Thomas Rabbit and his best friend Bruno and how they overcome their boredom whilst being taught along the way by Mrs Rabbit about the virus and how to prevent it spreading.’
An established singer, songwriter and musician, Elliott wanted to inspire and develop young minds through the power of music and teamed up with friend and colleague Andrew Stamp at Monkeynut Sound to create a full enchanting orchestral arrangement to accompany the whole audiobook.

Sunshine Hill is written and narrated by the Author Elliott Frisby and the music is created composer Andrew Stamp from Monkeynut Sound who is one of the leading composers in Television and Film. Elliott Frisby was inspired to write Sunshine Hill in
2007 when performing to family audiences across the UK. Back then, Sunshine Hill consisted of one long story interspersed by a selection of poems. It wasn't until 2018 when his five-year-old daughter and two-year-old son inspired him to dig out his old stories and turn Sunshine Hill into a series of short audiobooks, perfect for young ears and family listening. Two years later he is now enjoying reading these stories to his own children.
Elliott, a professional singer, songwriter and producer wanted to share his love for music transporting the listener on an enchanted journey and teamed up with colleague and good friend Andrew Stamp who created the magical scores that you will enjoy whilst listening to Sunshine Hill.
